Can I schedule learning reminders?

Overview

From within the classroom, you can set you learning schedule and download an .ics file to add reminders to your personal calendar. This can help you prioritize learning time and stay on track towards learning deadlines.

With this feature, learners can:

• Create their desired learning schedule.
• Download a calendar file.
• Add to their calendar (all major calendars should be supported by .ics)
• Get a link to jump straight into the dashboard and keep learning, right from the calendar event.

Learner Experience

From within a course, you can set your schedule by clicking on your initials in the upper right corner and selecting "Set Schedule".

A modal pops up where you can configure their learning schedule.

When you click download, a success notification shows you to add the downloaded .ics file to your calendar. 

Upon opening the downloaded .ics file, it will confirm which calendar you want to add it to. Most major calendars support importing .ics files (Google, Apple, Microsoft 365/Outlook, Windows, Yahoo).

It will confirm success.

The series will then be on your calendar, with a link to go to the Udacity dashboard from within each event.

Is this available to everyone?

Yes.

Why don't I see this option?

It only shows when you are inside of a program. Enroll in a program, go inside, then you will see it on the dropdown.

Can I find this calendar in the Udacity classroom?

No. It will only show up on your calendar. You import the .ics file directly to your calendar of choice, which will create an event on that calendar.

What if I want to change my calendar?

Open the feature again, create a new .ics file, and add it to your calendar.
